Lots Road on the north bank of the River Thames is a major redevelopment to a historic power station that provided electricity to the London Underground system for much of its service life.

Construction began in 1902 and was operational 3 years later. Originally a coal-fired plant it later became used for gas and oil production once natural gas reserves were located in the North Sea.

Today, this iconic site has been redeveloped into 260 apartments, making it one of the largest residential converted buildings in the UK.

Penton were asked to provide voice alarm coverage to a particularly tricky atrium area that required an acoustic test to determine how this area may be covered and it was our highly-respected DAC line arrays that would provide an effective solution.
