Description
The BTQ-VM8W is a wall-mounted, compact PA/VA controller featuring an integrated battery charging unit for secure battery backup and power sharing. It supports up to 8 monitored speaker zones, respectively. Each controller includes one or two high-efficiency Class-D amplifiers, available in 250 W or 500 W configurations, and is capable of handling up to 1000 W speaker load per zone and 2000 W maximum per unit. The controller can be networked with up to 64 secondary global units, including BTQ-VM4, BTQ-VM8, BTQ-VM4W/VM8W, or BTQ-SG8, via Global-Net. This allows the system to scale from as few as 4 monitored A/B speaker zones to a large networked system of up to 16,384 zones. The BTQ-SG8 connects to the controller using CAT5/6 cable (with a maximum distance of 100 meters between units), multi-mode fiber (up to 2 km), single-mode fiber (up to 20 km), or even longer distances upon request.
