Martyn’s Law, also known as the Protect Duty, is proposed UK legislation designed to enhance security in public spaces to protect against terrorism. It is named after Martyn Hett, a victim of the 2017 Manchester Arena bombing. The law mandates that venues and organizations hosting large gatherings have measures in place to mitigate the risk of terror attacks. These include comprehensive risk assessments, staff training, and robust action plans to respond to threats. It emphasises collaboration with authorities, ensuring public safety systems, including surveillance, access controls, and emergency evacuation protocols, are effectively implemented.
We can assist you with the design of an alert, lockdown, and evacuation system that also provides class/shift change notifications, background music, and paging functionality. Our products can integrate and control other existing systems you may have, such as door access, lighting, or CCTV.
We manufacture the whole system, from microphones and control equipment to the loudspeakers themselves. Any assistance with regards to system/speaker design can also be supplied along with pre-configuration and commissioning.
